Candid smiles, and happiness, taken in Nagercoil
Candid family moment in Auckland park, with a baby.
Candid moment in Auckland, coffee with the loved one
Running on a beach, with a dog, happiness on a New Zealand beach
If you’re like most people, the idea of a photo session comes with a little tension.
Where do I put my hands? Am I standing right? Is my smile weird?
Where do I put my hands? Am I standing right? Is my smile weird?
I’ve heard it all — and honestly, I’ve felt it too. That’s exactly why I shoot the way I do: gently, honestly, and candidly.
Candid isn’t casual — it’s intentional.
Candid photography doesn’t mean random snapshots.
It’s about capturing something true — a moment that happens naturally, without being forced or over-directed.
It’s about capturing something true — a moment that happens naturally, without being forced or over-directed.
I don't ask you to stand stiffly or hold an awkward pose.
Instead, I might say: “Walk together, talk about your last holiday,” or “Hold your baby like you usually would — even if they’re fussy.”

And then I wait — for a laugh, a glance, a pause — that’s where the magic lives.
Why I love working this way
Because I believe photography should feel like you.
It should capture the exact way your child throws their arms around your neck.
The way you and your partner laugh when no one else is listening.
That tired but full-hearted look in your eyes as a new parent.

These aren’t just "photos.", they’re memory markers — quiet, real reminders of where you were, and how it felt.
What makes a beautiful candid photo?
In my work, I look for four kinds of moments — the ones I’m always drawn to when editing:
1. The chaos of family life
No one’s looking at the camera. That’s the point.
A child halfway through a giggle, a parent chasing a runaway snack — it’s real life, and it’s beautiful.

2. The in-between glances
The moment right after the moment.
A couple walking, brushing shoulders. A quiet smile you weren’t aware of.

3. Stillness in motherhood
Motherhood is big and loud, but there’s stillness too — a soft hand on a belly, a shared breath.
These are sacred and fleeting.

4. Pets just being themselves
Dogs that don't sit still. Cats that blink right as I click.
These moments aren’t mistakes — they’re the exact reason we love them.

What to expect from a shoot with me
You don’t need to know how to pose.
You don’t need to tell your child to behave.
You don’t even need to smile on cue.

You don’t even need to smile on cue.
Just 3 bullet tips:
1. Wear simple, non-logoed clothing in coordinating (not matching) tones
2. Choose a trusted spot where your family can relax — home backyard, local park
3. Forget ‘perfect’—save your energy for running, hugging, singing
Just show up. Bring your people, your pet, your story.
I’ll bring the camera, the calm, and the eye for what really matters.

We’ll move gently through a location that suits you — a beach, your backyard, a favourite park. I’ll guide when needed, but mostly I’ll observe. And together, we’ll make something quietly beautiful.
